<p>Alison Russell besuchte die <a href="Wellington_School" title="Wellington School">Wellington School</a> in <a href="Ayr" title="Ayr">Ayr</a> und studierte an der <a href="London_South_Bank_University" title="London South Bank University">Polytechnic of the South Bank</a>.
Im Jahr 1983 wurde sie Mitglied der englischen Anwaltskammer <a href="Gray%E2%80%99s_Inn" title="Gray’s Inn">Gray’s Inn</a>.
